Detailed description (English): Electric polygon 2 organized for the second time as the number 2 suggests as an educational hour with primary school kids as an introduction into electric and hybrid vehicles as well as their importance for the environment. The whole day of EVENTS shall be initialized with the E-polygon 2 on the 18 of September 2015. The event is scheduled to be organized on the parking space on the campus of technical faculties(Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Skopje and Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies). The scientific theoretical share (Second Conference for EV in Macedonia coded as EV2 Conference and the Workshop for practical applications regarding EVs will be both separate sessions with differentiated audiences as scientific and applicative ones) in the framework of the EVENT is scheduled for realization in the K9 room in the building of the Institute for Мotor Vehicles and Homologation in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Skopje. The EXPO is scheduled to be organized on the parking space on the campus of the Mechanical Engineering – Skopje and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies. The parking lot on the campus is planned to lay the presented electric and hybrid vehicles, apparatuses and accessories with regard to the EVs. The event is scheduled as part of the global event “European Mobility Week” on 18th of September, 2015 (Friday). Time scheduled for holding the event is 09:00 until 17:00.
The team: Members of NGO Elektromobilnost Makedonija with support of the Department of environmental protection and nature in the City of Skopje and the Institute for motor vehicles and homologation in Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will be organizing the EVENTS. Volunteers are welcomed to be part of the organization, the e-mail: info@elektromobilnost.mk.
Risks regarding the project: Possible risk and obstacles in the realization of the EVENT on the 18th could be an occurrence of meteorological phenomenon and possibly rain that could reduce the presence of a greater audience and attendance by citizens at the EXPO intended to be held outdoors in the campus parking lot in the Institute for Motor Vehicles and Homologation at MFS and the parking lot in front of the Faculty of Electrical Eengineering and Information Technologies. This risk is reduced with a certain probability, but should always be taken into consideration.
Target group(s): Target group: The goal is that we have different visitor groups interested in the advanced technologies in the auto industry such as: students, professors, representatives of companies, citizens and lovers of electric cars etc.
Stakeholders: We expect direct involvement by the scientists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Skopje, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, stakeholders from the City of Skopje, precisely the Department of Environmental Protection and Nature, through PE City Parking, Motor Show, companies selling electric scooters and bicycles, companies producers of chargers for electric cars, innovators, electromechanical companies in a broad spectre, state energy companies, engineers making conversions from conventional to electric vehicles, NGO E-mobilty group etc.
Objectives: The project aims at raising awareness among the general population about the importance of electric and hybrid vehicles on the environment with direct contact with the citizens with the new technologies in electric mobility. The initiative aims at a broader framework for preparing series of strategies for electromobility in Macedonia.
Expected Outcomes: Within the framework of the project we expect an increase of the interest of the citizens for electric vehicles as a new trend in mobility and increase in the interest of the City of Skopje and State institutions for purchase of electric vehicles in broad spectrum, establishment of an infrastructure of chargers around the City of Skopje and through out Macedonia north-south and east-west corridors and urban centres) with provided subsidies for the citizens and legal entities who will buy EVs or HEVs or are already using electric or hybrid vehicles. Subsidies are expected from local governments and the State through the process of awareness for the use of electric vehicles and the benefits for the environment and financial subsidies for the purchase of electric and hybrid vehicles including e-scooters and e-bikes as well. As an extra motivation that will significantly stimulate the Macedonian citizens for purchasing EVs will be providing free parking throughout the city, free charging, toll free throughout the country, reduced to zero costs for registration, reduced costs for importing the vehicles etc. We push for a regulation and State law regarding EVs and HEVs and a series of strategies regarding EVs in Macedonia via the Faculties and Institutes as well as cluster as a EV chamber for possible production of parts for the E-mobility industry and electric vehicles in broad range as we in the NGO ELEKTROMOBILNOST MAKEDONIJA EV builders group have the capacity to lead the whole process.
