Detailed description (English): The Public Transport Photo Contest is an initiative of UITP (International Association of Public Transport), the only worldwide network that brings together all public transport stakeholders and all sustainable transport modes. Our 1400 member organisations are public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, research institutes, public transport supply and service industry.
Through the Lead the TRANSITion international photo contest, UITP - together with contributions from sector professionals - will show how public transport is pivotal in providing the mobility of the future and can also inspire and engage the wider world.
The contest begins on 16 September 2016 during European Mobility Week. This is the perfect event for UITP to use the power and creativity of photographic imagery to make a statement at international level.

Objectives: - Bring the sector’s diverse actors together around a common objective: highlighting the innovation fast-moving social and technological transformation underway in public transport.

Expected Outcomes: Winning entries will be exhibited in Montréal at the UITP Global Public Transport Summit on 15-17 May 2017, the biggest gathering of public transport related business leaders, government officials and civil society representatives in the world.
