Detailed description (English): The event is located close to the entrance of the Sélestat train station at strategic hours : from 4 to 7 pm, the time when there is the most important use of the station by the public, and particularly for those coming back from work.
People representing different companies, institutions or associations will :
1. Giving goodies (e.g bags, notebooks etc..) to get people to be curious about the ways of mobility
2. deliver simple messages on how the alternativ transports they promote can be used.
3. Discuss the way people use mobility and make them express their problems to be able to find a faster, more sustainable, cheaper etc.. solution.
4. Offer services (financed by PETR Séléstat Alsace Centrale) such as teaching to repair bikes by themselves, or marking bikes so as in case of a bike is beeing stolen, it could be found more easily by the police.
5. Insist on the existence of services developed sometimes few years ago and being slowly forgotten by the public (e.g an hitch hiking organised service).
Target group(s): People driving alone in their car and who park close to the Séléstat train station
Objectives: The objectives are to insist :
1. on the mobility means that are disposable for the public and that can be cheaper, healthier, faster, and more envrionmental friendly than the car.
2. on the services existing that are a true motivation to switch from the car alone to shared vehicules, or biking, or public transports
Expected Outcomes: the reaction wanted is : "I guess it is true that I could go to work etc.. in a smarter way, It might take a little extra organisation, but those people are here to make it easier for me, so why not give it a try and rethink the whole mobility scheme, at the end i believe it can be worth it."
