Detailed description (English): Given the current situation in Argentina, with major problems of obesity, poor education and dissemination of healthy habits regarding the performance of physical exercises, without collaboration and non-use of teamwork among the main actors related to traffic and health, problems Pollution given the large amount of gases put into the air due to the high use of vehicles and energy poles, we believe it is important to work in this activity to continue the work we carried out in 2018 in the “Mobility Week”
CO2 gas emissions, overwhelming traffic stagnations and even traffic accidents, we need to mitigate them through different initiatives that promote sustainable transport
Sustainable transport is compatible with economic growth and with the reduction of our impact on the environment, in particular, avoiding the harmful effects of climate change. This means taking full advantage of our transport networks, developing new ways of traveling and a greater focus on the environmental effects of transport.
Practical ways of doing this are linked to the expansion of travel options, and include:
The analysis of the real travel needs of local communities
- Provide better travel information to attract more people to public transport
- Develop really effective ways to encourage the use of cycling and walking
- Establish environmental requirements of new plans and developments
- Optimize the offer of new developments and existing buildings, minimizing costs such as parking
Target group(s): Chemical engineers

Responsible and committed citizens in the city
Objectives: Stimulate citizen behavior, in relation to the use of the vehicle, compatible with sustainable urban development, in particular with the protection of air quality, the prevention of traffic accidents, the reduction of gas emissions that cause the greenhouse effect and Rational consumption of energy resources.
Sensitize citizens about the environmental impacts of transport and inform them about their different modalities.
Promote the use of sustainable means of transport and, in particular, public transport, bicycle, foot mobility and electric vehicles.
Encourage a reunion of citizenship with the city, its people and its cultural heritage, in a healthy and relaxed environment.
Reflect on how excessive use of motorized transport affects our health. On the one hand, the air pollution and congestion they generate have a negative impact on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. On the other, they favor sedentary lifestyle and physical inactivity.
Expected Outcomes: 100 participants, all media partners at Bahia Blanca
Partner: chemical engineers college, law school, universities, cycling groups, companies, municipality of Bahia Blanca, NGOs
