Detailed description (English): Electric scooter (e scooter)are ideal transport vehicle for avoiding traffic jams in big cities and their usage is more promoted every day, especially because of environment protection. It is considered as a vehicle of future and the evidence for that is noticeable growth of the market.
Although they can reach the speed to 30 kilometers per hour, their users in most cases are driving them on sidewalks and mixing with pedestrians. The appearance of e-scooters is not followed by law regulations which could more precisely define their usage.
Because this transport vehicle has its driving engine and it can develop big speed, experts' opinions are divided whether drivers of e-scooters should move on the sidewalks as pedestrians or exclusively on the bicycle path or the road with other motor vehicles.
At the moment, these vehicles can't be classified into any group and we can't even say they are vehicles. We can't categorize them in L category defined by the law of safety in traffic on roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are mopeds because according to EU rule book mopeds are transport vehicles with minimum one seat. They also have other technical components which are different as the braking system, light signaling, certain conditions for drivers and registration
Detailed description (original language): Električni romobili, odnosno e-romobili, se smatraju idealnim prevoznim sredstvom za izbjegavanje saobraćajnih gužvi u velikim gradovima i u svijetu se sve više zagovara njihova upotreba, prvenstveno zbog doprinosa zaštiti životne sredine. Mnogi ga nazivaju vozilom budućnosti, a tome svjedoči i primjetan razvoj tržišta.
Iako mogu razviti brzinu i do 30 kilometara na sat, njihovi korisnici ih najčešće voze trotoarima, miješajući se s pješacima. Pojavljivanje električnih romobila na gradskim ulicama nije pratila i zakonska regulativa koja preciznije definiše njihovu upotrebu.
Budući da se radi o prevoznom sredstvu koje ima sopstveni pogon i može razviti veliku brzinu, mišljenja stručnjaka su podijeljena kad je riječ o tome da li se vozači električnih romobila trebaju kretati trotoarom, kao i pješaci, ili isključivo biciklističkim stazama ili na samoj cesti.
Za sada ova vozila nemaju kategorizaciju i ne možemo reći ni šta su ta vozila. Ne možemo ih uvrstiti u L kategoriju, a to su mopedi, jer prema pravilniku EU mopedima se smatraju prevozna sredstva koja imaju ugrađeno barem jedno sjedište. Zatim imaju druge tehničke elemente, kočioni sistem, svjetlosnu signalizaciju i određene uvjete za vozače i registraciju.
