Objectives: The “Pedal for Your Future” project was carried out to promote the use of bicycles in the city, to increase the variety of transport modes, to ensure sustainable mobility, as well as to reduce emissions. The “Pedal for Your Future” project is a vision project. It is planned that the works initiated in 2021 will continue in the future. In this regard, it is targeted to increase the prevalence of bicycle use while reducing the rate of private vehicle use in Gaziantep through infrastructure and awareness works focused on all citizens in the city. Therefore, “Green City” and “Livable City” commitments are aligned with Gaziantep's vision.
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality (GMM) is the public institution in Türkiye to be deemed worthy of the “Cycle-Friendly Employer Certificate (Gold Level)”.
