Detailed description (English): As a the starting event of our bike tour "Climate Rally to COY" (which is a joint event of the LCOYs in Germany, Austria and Italy) we plan to have a fishbowl discussion in the city's old town hall. The discussion will start at seven o' clock lasting about one and a half hours.
First their will be greeting words of the representatives of the respective embassies. Thereafter we start with the discussion itself which is due to it's unique format as a fishbowl discussion an ideal possibility for the listeners to get engaged in the discussion themselves. We therefore hope to create a space where it can be really thought together, guided in thought by experts on the one hand, applied to the lives and context of the audience through the mutual interaction and asking of questions.
As guests on the stage we will have the city's chief officer of the mobility strategy department, representatives of NGOs like the ADFC which engage themselves in the promotion of bikes as a mean of transport, as well as a scientist involved in the given field of transport and mobility.
With our discussion we will only connect people and ideas but also create an output that will be presented when we arrive in Milan. Thereby we contribute to the COY's aim to address the needs for sustainable change out of the perspective of young people.
Target group(s): The event targets young people and the general public interested in sustainable transport solutions for the city of Munich.
Objectives: We hope to raise awareness, connect people and create a shared spaced for common thinking about how sustainable transport in Munich could look like. Further we create output that will be delivered right afore the beginning of the COY in Milan.
Partner: Embassy of Britain, Embassy of Italy, Munich city
