Mobility for Everyone is about making sure all people can access sustainable transport, no matter their income, location, gender or abilities. No matter if they are young, old, or not even born yet!
In 2026, we focus on intergenerational mobility. At different points along the life course, children, youths, adults and older people face mobility challenges and obstacles related to their respective needs and abilities. EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK encourages us to envision mobility, where transport systems are adapted to all age groups and fulfil the needs of current and future generations. Collaboration between age groups and the use of each generation’s skills and assets can make mobility more inclusive.
At a crucial moment in history where more generations co-exist than ever before, the European Commission aims to foster fairness across the generations, while also considering the perspective of future generations. In this context, the Commission has adopted its first strategy on intergenerational fairness, promoting long-term thinking in governance and ensuring that young people have a stronger voice in shaping policies. This strategy comes as the result of a thorough co-creation process implemented over the past year.
Together, let's transform every journey and ensure mobility for everyone!
