On Wednesday, the lower part of TGM Street was closed for automobile traffic and in the town hall an artwork exhibition by children from elementary schools themed around EMW and Climate Change was displayed.

Car-free day
Frýdek-Místek carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
European Car Free Day took place on the closed square where the organizers prepared various games and competitions for children in the afternoon themed around EMW. Throughout European Car Free Day (22.9.2006), public transport was available for free.
