Close to motorized traffic the most of the historical centre. Creation of the Mobility Manager's office. Using three electrical buses that were disused until today, making special
routes for student from house to school, making a bike depot for students for
the way from central station to school. Buying bikes for exchange parkings,
progressive elimination of open-air parkings, making preferential routes for public
transports.
Adoption of car sharing to decrease the number of petrol cars
and increase the number of methane cars. Stimulate the use of public transports between
public clerks from house to work.
Car-free day
Caserta carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The streets of historical centre and the streets reserved to motorized
traffic during school hours.
