Completion of the Metro circle line in Oslo

In August 2006, the Metro circle line was completed. It offers an enlarged, efficient and comprehensive travel system relating to travel times, travel patterns and comfort, as well as connections to other public transport junctions along the ring. Urban districts are brought closer together and, outside the city centre, a new travel link between east and west is put in place. The Metro circle line is the largest single project in the expansion of underground travel facilities in Oslo, since the Metro line was first established.

Establishment of Mobility Oslo - advice scheme for businesses

Mobility Oslo is the City of Oslo’s mobility advice scheme for businesses. Mobility Oslo can help businesses to establish more flexible, cost effective and environmentally friendly transport solutions. The main goal is to reduce the dependency of expensive use of cars in connection with work and work related travels through arranging other alternatives. For the time being, the scheme is a trial project that will last until the end of 2007.
