Karviná joined European Mobility Week holding several events again. On Tuesday 19 September, the traffic department employees from the town authority, in cooperation with the Municipal Police officers, inspected the authorization to enter the town centre (the pedestrian precinct) including adherence to the road sign – “To the town only by foot today

In August, a 30 km/h speed limit zone was established in Karivná – Mizerov on the streets of Tyršova, Studentská, Olšová, Zahradnická, Kirovova and Poto
Car-free day
Karviná carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
