Zalau organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2006, taking into account the annual theme.
All week
Closing of one part of the main boulevard of the city for 12 hours (8 o'clock in the morning until 8 o'clock in the evening), during 1 August and 1 October, every Sunday.
Organizing different contests for children and youth (athletics, bike, rolller, etc.)
Car-free day
Zalau carries out a Car-Free Day 2006 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

The area we are going to close is situated on the main boulevard, in the center of the city; it is characterized by an intens traffic since this is alos the European Road E81, going to one of the most important Romanian cities (Cluj Napoca).
