The permanent measure will consist of traffic calmin to aid the local primary school - George Tomlinson, as part of their School Travel Plan.
Car-free day
London Borough of Waltham Forest carries out a Car-Free Day 2007 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Church Lane, Kirkdale Road and 1 other (tbc) Road will be closed to all motor traffic. High Road Leytonstone will have buses running 2 way along it all day.
