Manchester organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2009, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Manchester and Salford City Council's will be organising a series of events that will promote safe, car-free travel which will all contribute to achieving low carbon cities.

Car-free day Car-free day

Manchester carries out a Car-Free Day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
