Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.

Permanent measures implemented this year:
Pedestrianisation
- Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
- Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
- Extension or creation of new greenways
Traffic calming and access control scheme
- Speed reduction programmes in zones near schools

- Create wheelchair ramps
- Lowering of pavements
- Enlargement of pavements
- Removal of architectonic barriers
New forms of vehicle use and ownership
- Launch of online car-pooling and car-sharing schemes
- Responsible car-use (eco-driving etc)

- Launch of awareness-raising campaigns
