Car-free day Car-free day

Zagreb (City of Zagreb) carries out a Car-Free Day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Totally 6 km of streets in the city center will be closed for traffic and turned to pedestrian zone (500.000 m2). The traditional manifestation 'Zbica'of Bicycle Assosiation will be held during which a large number of bike riders drive in a procession through the center of the city.
