The local government in city of Linköping has made planes to lower speed limits. The goal is to introduce 30 km/h in populated areas and 40 km/h in inner city.
The ambition is to improve the infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists. Bicycle passes and sidewalks are being constructed according to the Bicycle plan from 2008. The goal for Linköping is to be one of the best bicycle cities in Europe.
All busses in the inner city are fueled by biogas. The adjustment to biogas in the surrounding areas was started summer 2009. The goal is that all busses in Linköping city and the surrounding shall be fueled by biogas.
Linköping has information about energy effective transports and arrange presentations that are available for all citizens.
