- Elementary school and kindergarten children learn about climate, climate changes and environmental protection
- Promotion of the town weather station and sun clock
- Planting of new green areas
- Closing of the traffic in the town centre (2 days)

Crikvenica carries out a Car-Free Day 2009 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
