ITCS

This year's Mobility week will be marked by the launch of the ITCS system (Intermodal Transport Control System), designed to enhance the operating of the public urban transportation, which will include the inauguration of the first dynamic billboard (DFI), installed at the P&R Bouillon, and announcing in real-time the arrival of the city-buses. The launch to which numerous interested parties are invited, as well as media representatives, will be followed by a reception at the "Tramsmusée" (Tramway Museum).

Beyond the evident functionality and advantages that ITCS offers to the users of public transportation, the latter will have the possibility to benefit from information generated by the system and sent via SMS's, even at stops which are not equipped with DFI billboards.

Set-up and Implementation of infrastructures for persons with vision and hearing deficiencies

ITCS allows also to convey numerous important information to vision – or hearing-impaired persons. The system being hence accessible to each and everyone, this accounts for yet another testimony that the city's efforts with regard to accessibility reach further than just the putting in place and/or implementation of measures to ensure the mobility as well as the security of the visually impaired: - appropriate floor covering (tactile paving), traffic lights equipped with vibratory and/or sonorous signals installed at protected pedestrian crossings.

Republishing of different communication tools and supports

• the map of bicycle itineraries will be updated and re-edited
• for the first time a map of the bike infrastructures per city area will be published, initially for the areas Merl, Belair and Hollerich
• the leaflet presenting the "Tramsmusée" (Tramway Museum) will be re-issued in 3 languages
• Observatory of sustainable transportation
