Clever Commuting Race (Day of Public Transport), 16 September
The programme of the overture of EMW focuses on clever commuting in connection with health.

Day of Pedestrian Streets, 17 September
On the newest pedestrianised street, Baross street.

Car Free Weekend, 18 - 19 September
On this weekend Andrassy Avenue, one of the main roads of Budapest is blocked for cars from 0 a.m. till midnight 19 September.
Cultural, sport, health and children's programmes.

‘Alternatives of Transportation in the City’ Conference, 20 September
A conference in the City Hall, themes: public transport, cycling, pedestrianisation, travel plans, clean vehicles, noise reduction, air quality. The participants can try some ‘clean vehicles’.

Day of Responsible Car Usage and Alternative Cars, 21 September
An open-air exhibition of alternative vehicles as hybrid, electro, gas, bioethanol cars and pedo-car on a popular place of the city and a demonstrative procession of these vehicles on the biggest boulevard of the city. Press briefing on the advantages of alternative car using and clean vehicles.

European Car-Free Day, 22 September
An open-air exhibition of state-of-art eco-buses on the main boulevard, closed for 24 hours on 22 September.
The public can try the newest Hungarian bus types such as trolley-buses, electric buses and low floor buses.

Budapest carries out a Car-Free Day 2010 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
