Bedford organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2011, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
EMW Roadshows arranged for Bedford Midland Station, Greyfriars Bus Station, Bedford College, and Bedford South wing Hospital.

Town Centre Market Stall to further promote EMW to the public, with free Dr. Bike.

Sustaianble Transport Competition where the public can provide feedback on their journey on 22nd September. Responses collected via Council Twitter / weblink and prizes awarded for each mode of travel.

Free Rickshaw pedicab seervice across the Town Centre on Saturday 17th September, to determine if there is a demand for thia alternative transport.

Commuter Challenge, where pedal cycle, motor cysle, bus and car "race" to the Town Centre on a common route. Challenge intended to be undertaken by Councillors / BBC staff. As in 2010, event will be undertaken simutaneously by outr twin town, Bamberg, in Germany.
