Tallinn organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2012, taking into account the annual theme.

•Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, signposting etc)
•Improvement and extension of the public transport network (marking lanes for public transport, new bus shelters )
•Adoption of school travel plans
• "Park and Travel"- If the citizen does not have a direct need for a car driving to the city center, he can leave the car in a suburban parking lot, and then travel to the city center by public transport.

Car-free day Car-free day

Tallinn carries out a Car-Free Day 2012 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
On Car Free Day, what will be held on 22-th of September, Tallinn's Old Town will be reserved solely for pedestrians and cyclists.
