Car-free day Car-free day

Bitonto carries out a Car-Free Day 2013 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
During Winter-Spring 2013, the historical centre has been interested by a regulation comprising different one-way streets and a limitation of car circulation. The objective for Autumn-Winter 2013 is to transform the historical centre in a Restricted Traffic Zone with the exception of specific kinds of residents (i.e. disabled and trade-men, but only for loading and unloading). Moreover, plant racks have been located in different streets to discourage double and even single parking lot.
