Car-free day
Sestu carries out a Car-Free Day 2013 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The oldest part of town - San Salvatore - has been charged with heavy traffic because Sestu was lacking alternative external routes to redirect truck flow to. A new section of the orbital road is being built and citizens will have a chance of enjoying a foretaste of what San Salvatore will be like when works are over.
