No presente ano as atividades pretendem demonstrar a importâncias das ruas nas vivências urbanas, pelo que todas as atividades focam-se na sustentabilidade do sistema de mobilidade, em especial para a necessidade da utilização dos modos suaves, como o andar a pé.

Car-free day Car-free day

Funchal carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
A cidade do Funchal pela primeira vez aplica uma ZSTA. Serão fechadas um conjunto de vias no centro do Funchal, ou seja zonas que ficam no coração da cidade.
