London Borough of Southwark organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

We have arranged a series of led walks to encourage citizens to see parts of their local area outside their usual route and make available a series of self-led walks on our website. A main street in Southwark, Bermondsey Street will be closed for the annual street festival and will have a Dr Bike. The council's pool bike scheme will be publicised to staff at key buildings.

Car-free day Car-free day

London Borough of Southwark carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Bermondsey Street will be closed to all motorised traffic on Saturday 20th September.
