Car-free day
Veles carries out a Car-Free Day 2015 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
On September 22, one whole street in Veles will be closed for traffic. The walk starts from the old bridge in Veles and will finish at the flow of the river Babuna into Vardar. The Mayor of the Municipality - M. Sci. Slavcho Chadiev together with the pupils from the primary, secondary schools, cyclist clubs and citizens will walk along the route for 5 kilometers. The event will be followed by the local media in order to send a positive message for the benefit of decreasing of car traffic and C02 emission.
