Further info
From the beginning of the school year 2015-2016 (15/09/2015), motorized vehicle access to Maria Luigia Avenue and Rondani Square will be forbidden and access restricted to bicycles and pedestrians. This restriction has already been succesfully experimented in the latter part of the past school year. The same will be realized in Toscana street.
These areas involve the majority of town high schools accesses.
We believe that the protection of road safety in school areas is fundamental and the operation has also a strong educational value and a strong environmental impact.
In this educational process, schools and municipality must be in the front line and it is vital to encourage teachers and students to use environmentally friendly transport modes to reach schools.

Car-free day Car-free day

Parma carries out a Car-Free Day 2015 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The area reserved only for pedestrians will be the historical centre
