“Lego city. Build the city of your dreams!”

St. Lazarus street will be closed for motor traffic in order to host the popular Lego®!
Build the city of your dreams and create eco-friendly vehicles under the guidance of the Bricks4Kidz team.
* The event is suitable for ages of 3 to 103! Memorabilia will be distributed to the participants.

“A bicycle for every citizen; a hope for each bike”

On Saturday afternoon everyone is invited to take their helmet and bike and join the cycling groups of our city for a beautiful ride!
Finikoudes, Piyiale Pasa, Mackenzie, sunset on the saltlake, evening ride in the city center.

“Les Combattants / Love at First Fight”

Monday nights are all about movies in our city and Larnaka Cinema Society invites us to enjoy an outdoor screening of a romantic comedy at the House of Volunteers.
Come riding your bike and you can enjoy the movie for free! Special arrangements will be made to safely park your bicycle.

Join us for an interactive route around Larnaka which aims to identify the difficulties in moving around our city and the gaps in infrastructure for the disabled.
Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.

Join us for an interactive route around Larnaka which aims to identify the difficulties in moving around our city and the gaps in infrastructure for the disabled.
Implementing one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
  • Improvement of bicycle facilities (parking, locks etc)
Pedestrianisation
  • Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
  • Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
Traffic calming and access control scheme
  • Reduction of outside parking zones
Accessibilities
  • Create wheelchair ramps
  • Lowering of pavements
  • Removal of architectonic barriers
New forms of vehicle use and ownership
