Activities within the week Activities within the week

Issy-les-Moulineaux organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
During the European Mobility Week, Issy-les-Moulineaux is going to offer animations revolving around bikes for its citizens.
- on Wednesday, the 21th of September during the afternoon on the Sainte-Lucie path: besides the merry-go-round set up here at this period of the year, there will be animations for the youth (road safety awareness course or playful course, bike quizzes and games, snacks, etc.)
- on Saturday, the 24th of September : there will be animations suitable for all (bike fixing workshops, educational strolls around cycles tracks and two-way streets, demonstration of electric power assisted bikes, etc.)

These animations could be devised along with several city associations, like bike clubs and « Issy en Transition » (Transitioning Issy), a new association from Issy which works towards composting, urban agriculture and bike use.
Communication could be insured by traditional mediums (website, social media, light signs, etc.), along with flyers handed out during the Associations Forum and via Community Centers.

The mobility theme is represented through several stands, activities and information points aimed to encourage citizens to use innovative sustainable mobility services.

Users could have information on carpooling (CityGoo) and car-sharing (Autolib’) services, test an electric power assisted vehicle or Segway, participate in bike fixing workshops, test mobile applications (like “This Way” from the European project OTN), or simply exchange with public transports companies or with the urban area mobility direction.

In all these occasions, the new application "This Way", created by the European Project OpenTransportNet, will be introduced to the population. This application let users share their urban trips. The data of collected by the app is anonymised and it is published on the Open Data portal opetnet.eu.

Further info
The city is involved with the development and management of a new project, SO Mobility, as part of a public-private consortium managed by Bouygues, Colas, Engie, Caisse des Depot and CISCO which includes several startups as BePark, Citygoo, Opendatasoft, Paybyphone.

The project’s goal is to use digital technologies to improve city travels especially with the further development of the “Grand Paris” project which aims to better connect Paris with its suburbs and improve local travels within the Parisian area. The consortium aims to develop a multimodal planner in order to allow its users to always find the best solution to move and park.

In this framework, the City has launched an open innovation activity to involve citizens as decision-makers, in particular thanks to some students of the university "Ecoles des Ponts et Chaussées" who has met and interviewed local citizens to understand their needs. This activity will be followed up in the second phase of the project, starting in autumn 2016.

Furthermore, the urban agglomeration, thanks to the collaboration of RATP (public transports company) has finally adopted the service Zenbus, a bus tracking application to follow the buses in real time, after that Issy has tested it in the previous 2 years.

Finally, the City has increased the offer of parking as BePark and Yes Park are now offering new spots on their park sharing offer (those are also available on City Open Data portal) and two applications have been and are tested to improve mobility: ECIM (offering a single sign-in to pay parking) and This Way (OTN project, offering a crowdsourcing application letting citizens share their urban trips with other users).
