Further info
Issy-les-Moulineaux has introduced 3 permanent measures to improve traffic and mobility lately, particularly:

- Parking availability in real time and open data: in 2017, around 200 on-street parking places have been equipped with Sensors and matched with a mobile application, available on AppStore and Google Play, developed by the French start-up ParkingMap, proposing the availability in real time of on-street and off-street parking spots and multimodal paths, also exploiting real time data of bike sharing and public transports (tramway and urban trains).
This data has also been published on the Issy Open Data portal of the data in real time of on-street parking spots availability, to allow application and services developers, such as Waze, ViaMichelin, Mappy or any other raising start-up, to include this on their services;

- Cyber Valet: this solution around Parking has been introduced on an off-street parking in Issy by the companies Valeo and Indigo and it allows a car to park by itself. Specifically, it is enough for the driver to leave his vehicle and use his Smartphone to operate the controls, at the entrance to the car park. The car then automatically goes to its parking spot and can find the driver at the meeting point of the car park, a simple click.

- Carpooling: several start-ups now offer efficient services for carpooling urban travels in Paris Region. Starting from mid-2017, Issy has started proposing, thanks to the collaboration with the 3 start-ups, to companies of its area to promote carpooling to their employees, starting from the support of the City and the project in terms of marketing collaterals. This experience relies also on the promotion of thursday as a "Carpooling day. The campaign has involved 19 companies for around a base of users of 10.000 commuters that will be involved also through a challenge that will be launched on the European Mobility Week.

Car-free day Car-free day

Issy-les-Moulineaux carries out a Car-Free Day 2017 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
On May 21st, in the framework of the “Issy Spring Day” event, Issy has closed various streets on City Centre to cars all day (8 am to 6 pm), allowing pedestrians, bikes and any other "human" vehicles to move around freely. In this framework, this day, that is held annually, makes available for citizens, next to usual public transports, also some trains around the City.
