Activities within the week Activities within the week

Katrineholm organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2017, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
the week will start with a day where the bus fares within the central city will be free for all inhabitants. To put focus on sustainable public transpot, an electric bus is rented over the day that will be seated at the city square for parts of the day and run in traffic for part of the day, for citizens to test ride.

In the middle of the week a campaign is held where the municipality rewards bicicle commuters by handing out a give away bag. This bag will also contain information about the newly built bicycle crossings, a measure to simpolify and increase accesibility for bicycles.

At the end of the week we will hold an inaguration for our new bicycle barometer which will display number of bikes passing at the town square. we willa lso hold a name-giving for one of the walking/bicycle lanes in one of our rural populationcenters.
