Exeter carries out a Car-Free Day 2017 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

On the 22nd September Devon will be asking employers to encourage their staff to leave the car at home and travel by walking, cycling or public transport.
The challenge is to leave the car at home and travel using a different, environmentally friendly or unusual form of transport.
