Madrid organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2017, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
From 15 to 24 September, Madrid will celebrate an special and extended European Mobility Week under the name of La Celeste (the colour of the sky) to share the challenge of urban mobility with citizens: debates, many cycling rides, walking routes, more than 50 Park(ing) Day iniciatives, 15 Open Streets full of activities, exhibitions, a big two-days bike festival (FestiBal), street activism... the full program is available at laceleste.madrid.es

Madrid implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

Car-free day Car-free day

Madrid carries out a Car-Free Day 2017 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
15 Open Streets all around the city on 17 September and a big cycling ride on 22 September will conmemorate Car Free Day
