Valmiera organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2017, taking into account the annual theme.

18.09.2017. - An exam for cyclists driving licence was offered in the public library of Valmiera (Cesu street 4) - a place in the centre of the city closer to the citizens, closer to cyclists.
19.09.2017. - 7.30 - 9.00 a.m. "Cycle to work" action in Valmiera - in cooperation with the bike-service "Gandrs" and the State police welcoming of all the cyclists will be organised. The service masters will offer quick-help and diagnosis of the bike. The police images tom-car Rūdis and beaver Bruno will greet the cyclists in several places of the city.
22.09.2017. - the "Car free day" in Valmiera under the 2017 theme "Clean,shared and intelligent mobility" will offer a day of hikes and excoursions having informatinve and educative content on security and environment, as well as city history and nature. A small hiking excoursion will be offered by Valmiera museum. Open lessons, welcoming the hikers, will be offered also by Vidzeme University, waste management company ZAAO Ltd., State police. A class of Valmiera Pārgauja elementary school will have a hike within the forest celebrating also the poetry days and playing a poetry game about the river Gauja and its nature.
