Utrecht organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2017, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
"Smart Transport, smart ordering" Inspiration session for local businesses, transporters and suppliers. Promoting shared, bundled and clean freight deliveries in the city centre. (18 September)
* Logistic broker advices businesses how to reduce van and truck trips during rush hours.
* Fietstelweek (Bicycle count week): during one week participants will use an app to register their cycling trips, resulting in more insight in bicycle traffic
* E-bike Roadshow: a temporary test course for e-bikes on a business site in Utrecht
* Start of fully electrical bus service on line 1, with special chargers at terminus

Utrecht implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

New or improved bicycle facilities
Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)

Car-free day Car-free day

Utrecht carries out a Car-Free Day 2017 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Two streets, Kersstraat and Concordiastraat, have been temporarily fitted as "living streets". Residents could use the road and parking spaces in a different way and actually live on the streets. (Ps This was not in the mobility week itself, but during the summer for several week)
