Car-free day Car-free day

Kadıköy, İstanbul (Kadikoy, Istanbul) carries out a Car-Free Day 2020 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Moda Street, which
- takes name from the popular neighborhood, Moda and connects it with the historical city center of Kadıköy
- is an attractive location for both residents of İstanbul and the tourists
-is a key street, providing the only vehicle entrance to Moda, also an important promenade and cycling route for pedestrians and cyclists, connecting these functions to the coast, which is widely known as a primary recreational area
is going to be closed to traffic for one day on September 22nd.
