Activities within the week Activities within the week

Girona organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2021, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
Ring-ring operation
From 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. RENFE station, between the Central Park bike lane and the AVE station.
The first hundred people who go to work or class by bike that day, if they approach at this point, will receive a breakfast and a surprise gift.
17 September
Children's workshop "Let's build saddlebags and baskets for bikes and scooters"
In this workshop we will build some baskets or cardboard saddlebags to take our treasures to the bike or scooter, and we will decorate them to our liking to show off our creativity throughout the city. Small group of 25 children.
18 September
1) Theoretical and practical training on how to get around the city by bike:
If you regularly cycle around the city, this training is for you! Get on a Bike will train you on how to move around the city of Girona safely and efficiently. Small group of 15 people. You must bring your own bicycle.

2) Children's workshop "Let's redraw the city":
What would our city be like if we could reinvent it ourselves? The illustrator Maria Vidal brings us a very long roll of paper and a proposal: to redraw and paint our squares and streets in order to accommodate everyone. And maybe the roll of paper surprises us! Small group of 25 children.

3) Bike Day, The bike for all tastes:
In order to raise awareness and highlight the environmental benefits of our small daily gestures, different fun activities, talks and exhibitions of different types of bicycles are offered throughout the day.
On the other hand, La tribici is an electric bicycle for transversal use (for cargo, family and professional use) that wants to promote sustainable mobility in the territory of Girona, because it is agile, practical, fun and, above all, sustainable and comfortable.

4) Traffic Children's Park:
The Parc Infantil de Trànsit is a road education activity of the Catalan Traffic Service aimed at girls and boys up to 12 years old so that, in a playful way, they become aware of road safety.
19 September
1) Exhibition of electric and hybrid vehicles:
With the dual aim of encouraging and boosting the economic revival of the city on the one hand and highlighting the advantages and benefits of this category of vehicle on the other hand, major car brands will offer their ranges of electric and hybrid car models in order to bring them closer to people and give them the opportunity to be able to try them.

2) Excursion by electric bicycle along the greenways:
A guided walk along the greenways to Cassà de la Selva with an electric bicycle. We offer the opportunity to experience nature in a sustainable way.
Small groups of 10 people per day. There will be built-in highchairs for those who need it.
20 September
Online talk: Active mobility in schools. Health and the environment in childhood and adolescence.
At 6 pm via videoconference from Girona City Council. What impact does sustainable school mobility have on health and the environment in childhood and adolescence?
22 September

From 6 to 9 p.m. Carrer de la Creu, behind the Faculty of Medicine.
