Activities within the week Activities within the week

Dingli organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2023, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
16th- 22nd: Online Awareness Campaign

We will be conducting an awareness campaign, mostly on the various social media available online. The course would run for the full duration of European Mobility Week, and it involves the posting of a minimum of one item related to the annual theme, which in 2023 is ‘Save Energy’.
The awareness campaign conducted by Dingli Swallows FC and Youth Nursery will feature different types of media such as posters, videos and the like with the participation of players of the team, technical staff such as coaches, professionals in the field and other athletes who may want to contribute their efforts towards the cause. This content will range from information by the book to personal experiences of the people involved in the delivery of this material. Of course, cross promotion from other entities and organisations would be appreciated.

The benefits from a similar campaign would be:
- Conversely to a one-day event, spanning over a week would feed the information slowly and not feel overwhelming
- Bigger reach due to the advantage of not needing the target audience to be physically in place

Participants of this pedometer challenge will be using their smartphone to keep track of the number of paces done in the shortest time. This challenge will pass through the Dingli Heritage Trail, and end towards Fawwara in the limits of Siggiewi. This awareness campaign is being taken care of by the Ghaqda Muzikali Santa Marija in collaboration with the Dingli Local Council to motivate people to avoid the use of vehicles and other forms of transportation, and instead walk or bike to where they want to go.
