16 September
On Saturday, September 16, the Maliebaan in Utrecht between Malieblad and Burgemeester Reigerstraat will be car-free from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.! That offers room for something different: a festival with an active program for young and old.

Think of a BMX pump track, a Cyclefun production with 15 fun bikes, a driving simulator to experience the effect of texting while driving, a children's corner, music with Florian Wolff with The Green Machine and a line-up of shared mobility, like Greenwheels, MyWheels and TIER.
19 September
We question residents through a survey about travel behavior. We take over the streets with a number of colleagues. We will use these insights in upcoming projects to respond more often to interventions around mobility management and try new things out.

In Utrecht, driving 30 kilometers per hour is the norm. Now also on the Orinocodreef in the neighborhood Overvecht. This street has been redesigned in recent months as a bicycle street where the maximum speed has been adjusted. There is now more space to cycle safely, cross the street as a pedestrian and the street has become greener! This will be celebrated on Thursday morning, September 21, with local residents and councilor Lot van Hooijdonk.

The councilor participates in a braking distance demonstration in collaboration with Veilig Verkeer Nederland in which we see how much safer it is to drive 30 km per hour instead of 50 km per hour. In addition, the councilor is kicking off the '030 goes for 30' campaign, together with the students of De Kleine Prins primary school. In this campaign we draw attention to the importance of driving 30 km per hour for road safety in Utrecht.
