Activities within the week Activities within the week

Borlänge (Borlange) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2023, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
• The municipality's high goals for sustainable travel and ongoing work to get there are highlighted internally and externally throughout the week.
• The municipality's employees and citizens are encouraged to park their car for a day or the whole week.
• Tip walk in Borlänge Center with the theme Mobility
• Interactive map. How far do you go by bicycle, e-bike or public transport in 15 minutes? With the help of our interactive map, you can check how far you are from different parts of the municipality.
• The entire program for Mobility Week 16-22 September can be read here:

22 September
• Representatives from the municipality are on site in the city center to thank citizens who cycle and collect responses to a digital survey linked to sustainable travel.
• NTF will be on hand to inform about their "Safe Cycling" program which aims to increase helmet use by adult cyclists.
• Lecture at Galaxen: SSAB, "Excuse the mess, we're changing!" SSAB takes the lead in reducing the steel industry's carbon footprint. As early as 2030, you must be fossil-free. How can SSAB's high-strength steel contribute to more sustainable transport for both society and the individual? What changes does this mean for production in Borlänge?
Organizer Stadsliv Borlänge
• Lecture at Galaxen: RISE "Is the mobility of the future already here?" There is a lot of talk about transformation and major overhauls to reach our climate and transport goals, but big things often start with small things. Many solutions are already in place or can be implemented with very little effort and can have a big impact. At the same time, of course, we need to work on system change so that it becomes "easy to do the right thing", but that should not prevent us from making small efforts here and now.
