organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2023, taking into account the annual theme.
All week
During the week, the elevators in the municipality buildings were closed in order to encourage people to use the stairs.
16 September
Free yoga lessons were given to citizens living in the district. These lessons were given in many sports facilities in various neighborhoods of our district so that all our citizens could participate.
17 September
Free pilates lessons were given to citizens living in the district. These lessons were given in many sports facilities in various neighborhoods of our district so that all our citizens could participate.
18 September
To encourage physical activities and clean transportation, our municipality rewarded the participants who showed success during the competitions that will take place during the week.
19 September
We held a table tennis match amongst the employees of the municipality. On the first day, they participated in order to stay for the final play on September 20. Free Zumba lessons were given to citizens living in the district. These lessons are given in many sports facilities in various neighborhoods of our district so that all our citizens can participate.
20 September
We conducted the final stage of the table tennis to determine the first four players. After the final tournament, our mayor gave the awards to the winners. Free cardio training was organized for citizens living in the district. These trainings are organized in many sports facilities in various neighborhoods of our district so that all our citizens can participate.
21 September
As a district at the coastline, we created stand-up paddleboard activities to improve the sports skills of the children who live in Büyükçekmece.
We also organized an office pilates workshop to inform and encourage the municipality personnel.
22 September
Mustafa Kemal Boulevard in the Mimaroba neighborhood was closed to traffic. While encouraging children's participation in the mobility week with entertaining activities, the 100th anniversary of the republic was celebrated on the closed boulevard.

Car-free day
Büyükçekmece, İstanbul (Buyukcekmece, Istanbul)
carries out a Car-Free Day 2023 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
