10:00–12:00 Castle and villas in Solkan
Free guided tour of Solkan with guide Evelin Bizjak. In the 17th century, important noble families began to appear in Solkan, such as the Coronini, Strassoldo, Lanthieri... Here they built residential buildings that gave the place a bourgeois and aristocratic appearance. We will gather in front of Villa Bartolomei, take a look at the exterior and walk through the streets of Solkan past many villas, the former seats of the estate. The route will lead us to the Lenassi villa of businessman Odone and the park in front of it. Along the street IX. corpus, we will reach Villa Puppi, known as Hotel Sabotin, behind it is Villa Paniaco. At the end, we will see the remains of the "Palace" or Grimar's Manor. With its size, imposing facade, picturesque towers and old, powerful cypresses that adorned the castle park, it gave Solkan a special stamp and a romantic touch. The number of places is limited, registration is required at: goriskastorija@gmail.com.
