Detailed description (English): Monday 16th of September:
10.00 h: Opening of the snake game in Jaén. School to be confirmed.
The Snake Game is a campaign at European level that Diputación develops in collaboration with the Provincial Traffic Office, and some municipalities and colleges to encourage primary school pupils, their families and teachers to use sustainable modes of transport, that is, to go to school on foot, by bike or by public transport.
The objectives of the campaign are to promote sustainable forms of mobility among the educational community and to improve safety and quality of life in school areas.
"The Snake Game" lasts two weeks. A survey is made everyday by show of hands, during a total of ten school days, to count the sustainable journeys of the pupils. Other complementary activities are implemented to strengthen the concept of sustainable mobility such as talks, reading the story "Travis the traveling serpent", making snakes with recycled material…
In 2016, we received "VI Award for Good Local Climate Practices" for the realisation of the "Snake Game", awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment through FEMP.
Tuesday 17th of September
11.00 h: Inauguration of the safe and sustainable school path of Siles.
Provincial Council of Jaén, Provincial Headquarters of Traffic, the Territorial Delegation of Education and the Territorial Delegation of Development and Housing, in collaboration with the municipalities of the province, develop the project "Safe and Sustainable School Path" in order to design safe itineraries so that schoolchildren can use them on their way to and from school, enabling them to do so more autonomously and safely.
In December 2016 we received one of the awards of the Spanish Week of Sustainable Mobility, awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment for the program "Safe School Paths" to institutions, organisations and companies that have participated in the European Mobility Week, disseminating and promoting the values of movement in the most sustainable and environmentally-friendly urban centres.

Detailed description (original language): Lunes Día 16 de septiembre:
10.00 h: Inauguración del juego de la serpiente en Jaén.
El Juego de la Serpiente es una campaña a nivel europeo que Diputación desarrolla en colaboración con la Jefatura Provincial de Tráfico, y algunos ayuntamientos y colegios para animar a los estudiantes de primaria, a sus familias y al profesorado a utilizar medios sostenibles en sus desplazamientos, es decir a ir al cole andando, en bici o en transporte público.
Los objetivos de la campaña son promocionar las formas de movilidad sostenibles entre la comunidad educativa y mejorar la seguridad y la calidad de vida en las áreas escolares.
“El Juego de la Serpiente” dura dos semanas, un total de diez días lectivos, en los cuales se han realizado todos los días encuesta a mano alzada para conocer los viajes sostenibles del alumnado, así como otro tipo de actividades complementarias para afianzar el concepto de movilidad sostenible como charlas, lectura del cuento “Travis las serpiente viajera”, elaboración de serpientes con material reciclado…
En el año 2016 recibimos “VI Premio a las Buenas Prácticas Locales por el Clima” por la realización del “Juego de la Serpiente”, otorgado por el Ministerio de Agricultura y Pesca, Alimentación y Medio Ambiente a través de la FEMP.
Martes Día 17 de septiembre
11.00 h: Inauguración de la señalización del camino escolar seguro y sostenible de Siles.
Diputación de Jaén, Jefatura Provincial de Tráfico, la Delegación Territorial de Educación y la Delegación Territorial de Fomento y Vivienda, en colaboración con los ayuntamientos de la provincia, desarrollan el proyecto “Camino Escolar Seguro y Sostenible” con el fin de diseñar itinerarios seguros para que los escolares puedan utilizarlos en su trayecto de ida y vuelta al colegio, posibilitando que lo hagan de una forma más autónoma y segura.
En diciembre de 2016 recibimos uno de los premios de la Semana Española de la Movilidad Sostenible, concedido por el Ministerio de Agricultura, Alimentación y Medio Ambiente por el programa “Caminos Escolares Seguros” a instituciones, organizaciones y empresas que hayan participado en la Semana Europea de la Movilidad, difundiendo y promoviendo los valores de desplazamientos en los núcleos urbanos más sostenibles y respetuosos con el medio ambiente.
Miércoles Día 18 de septiembre:

Jueves Día 19 de septiembre:
9.30 h, inauguración de la señalización del CESS de mancha Real
12.00 h , inauguración señalización CESS en Martos

10.00 h firma de STARS en La Carolina.
Domingo Día 22 de septiembre:
8.30 h Marcha senderista saliendo de Torredelcampo.
Target group(s): Aimed mainly at pupils in the different schools and their tutors, as well as municipalities in small and large cities, as well as companies, NGOs, associations, in addition to all citizens and the political leaders.
Objectives: This European initiative encouraging cities to introduce and promote sustainable transport measures and inviting citizens to test alternatives to car use.
Expected Outcomes: The number of participants is expected to exceed 2500
