Detailed description (English): The University of Cadiz, within the framework of the obligations that it imposes within the framework of its commitment to Social Responsibility, understands as one of its guidelines, the promotion of policies related to Sustainable Mobility, being essential that they comply a series of principles that lead us to design new, more sustainable and socially inclusive layout models, as well as modify the patterns of transport use to achieve a true transition towards sustainability.
The annual theme of the European Mobility Week, the European Commission's main campaign on sustainable urban mobility, for this year 2022 is "Better connections" and aims to spread the benefits of using sustainable modes of transport, highlighting and promoting synergies between people and places that are offering their expertise, creativity and dedication to raising awareness of sustainable mobility and promoting behavior change in favor of active mobility, as well as reaching out and making connections between existing groups and new audiences.
With this contest we want to give visibility to the environmental commitments assumed by these institutions with Sustainable Mobility, all under the horizon set by the guidelines set forth in the Sustainable Development Goals promoted by the United Nations and which are manifested in: reduction of CO2 emissions, reduction of economic spending, reduction of accidents, equal opportunities, accessibility, proliferation of road awareness, as well as the socialization of the university community.
