Detailed description (English): Terrassa City Council organizes cycling courses in schools, aimed at 11, 12 and 13-year-old students in order to encourage greater use of bicycles in the city. These courses aim to improve children's abilities to cycle around the city, using it as a means of everyday transport. The objectives of these courses are to train students to cycle autonomously and safely through the city and to increase their knowledge and understanding of street and traffic environments.
The courses are held in groups of a maximum of 20 students and a minimum of 10 for the training level1 (training in the school yard) and groups of between a maximum of 10 and a minimum of 5 students for training levels 2 and 3 (training in the streets of the city). Each participating student is given an approved reflective vest. In relation to bicycles and helmets, each participant must bring their own.
The training is mainly practical, but also contains theoretical aspects. Specifically, 3 levels, divided into 2 sessions of 3 hours each.
Participants receive a Certificate of Aptitude for each level passed, the contents of which are:
- Level 1: Learn to control and master the bike safely.
- Level 2: Basic street driving.
- Level 3: Advanced street driving.
Detailed description (original language): L'Ajuntament de Terrassa organitza cursos de conducció en bicicleta a les escoles,dirigida als alumnes de11,12 i 13anys per tal de fomentar un major ús de la bicicleta a la ciutat.
Aquests cursos pretenen millorar les capacitats dels infants per circular en bicicleta per la ciutat, utilitzant-la com a mitjà de transport quotidià.
Els objectius d'aquests cursos són la capacitació dels alumnes per circular en bicicleta de forma autònoma i segura per la ciutat i augmentar els coneixements i la comprensió dels entorns dels carrers i del trànsit.
Els cursos es realitzen en grups d'entre un màxim de 20 alumnes i un mínim de10 per al nivell formatiu1 (formació al pati de l'escola) i grups d'entre un màxim de10 i un mínim de 5 alumnes per als nivells formatius 2 i 3 (formació als carrers de la ciutat).
A cada alumne participant se li lliura una armilla reflectant homologada. En relació a les bicicletes i els casquets, cada participant ha de portar els propis.
La formació és fonamentalment pràctica, però també conté aspectes teòrics. En concret, 3 nivells, repartits en 2 sessions de 3 hores cadascuna.
Els participants reben un Certificat d'Aptitud per a cada nivell superat, els continguts dels quals són:
- Nivell 1: Aprendre a controlar i dominar la bicicleta amb seguretat.
- Nivell 2: Conducció bàsica al carrer.
- Nivell 3: Conducció avançada al carrer.
