Target group(s): In 2022, coinciding with the European Year of Youth, the focus is on all young people in Europe with the aim of claiming and leaving a sustainable legacy in the use of practices that generate a positive impact on the environment. For example in the way they travel, choosing the most efficient means of transport with the least pollution impact on society.
The target audience we want to reach with this action is the Spanish population in general, university students, associations and institutions related to energy efficiency and decarbonisation of cities. In addition, we want to reach administrations, companies and reference entities are called upon to assume an integral concept of sustainability. New approaches to governance join forces with entrepreneurship to generate knowledge and propose innovative solutions.
Objectives: The speakers will provide a productive debate on the implementation of the use of sustainable energy in the urban transport sector and its infrastructures, with this movement we will try to inspire other companies to adopt sustainable energy and green methods, and also to spread information on this topic among young people so that they adopt this type of measures in their daily lives as well as to all stakeholders within the industry itself.
To this end, we will have a programme of contents in line with the main areas of action of the European Union, such as the new mobility framework, and of the different administrations - national, regional and local - in these areas. Thus, current issues such as emissions reduction, circular economy or decarbonisation will be addressed, as well as smart administration and governance, the mobility of the future and transport - with aspects such as the so-called last mile, mobility as a service (MaaS) or multimodality - or the development of a more sustainable building and urban ecosystem.
Partner: The events have the involvement and support of the main networks of cities, Innpulso and RECI (Spanish Network of Smart Cities), which strengthen the municipal presence, making them the main national meeting for cities and their representatives. This year the 'Encuentro de Líderes Urbanos' will be held again, where city leaders from all over the country will discuss city projects, initiatives and challenges of public administration. It is worth remembering that in 2021 they attracted the presence of 40 mayors. Moreover, the events will offer a wide range of cutting-edge services and tools for a more advanced management model and for the improvement of public services with the participation of specialised companies and entities. In addition, there will once again be a tool to facilitate networking between potential technological partners and public administration technicians.
