Detailed description (English): Thanks to the Erasmus program, from September 14 to 18, 2025, a group from the "cicloteca" project participated in a mobility in Slovenia at the Regionalni razvojni center Koper on the occasion of the European Mobility Week.
Mobility is organized by Akon service S.a.s, which has been accredited in the adult education sector and as a mobility consortium coordinator since 2020, and this year was selected by the national agency INDIRE as a national best practice.
"We loaded our luggage with enthusiasm, sharing, and determination. We cycled through the wonders of the Istrian coast from Muggia to Piran, passing through Izola, Capodistria, and Portorose. We made new friends, shared experiences, and filled our eyes with beauty as we rode surrounded by the green of Koper's picturesque countryside."
This experience demonstrated how crucial it is to promote and support exchanges
Europeans among experiences and active projects in the field of soft mobility. The comparison of best practices, educational approaches, and sustainable strategies not only allows participants to enrich their skills, but also to build an increasingly European network.
aware, collaborative, and environmentally conscious.
In a Europe that looks to the future, we hope to be a positive example of a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable society – one pedal at a time.
Our bike trip is available on the association's official page!
Target group(s): The group consists of 10 adult participants who took part in the "cicloteca" project.
The participants are between 30 and 45 years old, with varying levels of previous cycling experience. Most of them are members of the local community with a shared interest in bicycles as a tool for cultural enhancement, environmental protection, and social promotion.
The Cicloteca is a social project of inclusion and cultural promotion promoted by the Aldo Moro Cultural Center in San Salvo. The project includes advocacy actions, awareness campaigns, projects, and events focused on promoting sustainable mobility through the use of bicycles not only as a safe, inclusive, and ecological urban transport, but also as a way of cultural change.
The main objective that gives the project its name is the activation of the "bike library service" at the Aldo Moro Cultural Center, which will allow people to borrow a bicycle, in order to make bicycles accessible to anyone who wants to try cycling, even those who do not own one.
In the first year of operation, the working group involved more than 100 participants in various initiatives.
45 hours of laboratory work have been completed. Public events have been held to promote the "green road" on the Trabocchi Coast, and a crowdfunding campaign has been launched to raise donations for bicycles.
In September 2025, an Erasmus mobility was finally realized in Slovenia at the Regionalni razvojni center Koper in anticipation of the European Mobility Week.
