Detailed description (English): As part of the Moabit Mobility Week (Moabit-West), offers to promote exercise and cycling for children, schoolchildren and young people will be organized from 16 to 20 September 2024.
The focus is on making cycling fun and increasing road safety through appropriate exercises and information.
A pump track (riding course) will be set up on Otto-Platz, which can be used under qualified supervision. A pump track is a closed circuit with bends and waves. Riding a pump track is child's play for young and old and is great fun! The aim of the pump track is to build up speed by shifting your weight and actively pushing and pulling - without pedaling.
In addition, a mini-course on the grounds of the pedagogically supervised Otto playground allows the youngest children - aged 3 to 6 - to experience speed independently, train their balance and orientation and test their reaction skills and ultimately ride more safely as their confidence grows. The offer is child-friendly and takes place in a safe and protected environment with experienced supervisors. Roller boards, balance bikes, scooters and small bicycles as well as small helmets are provided on site.
On the day of action on September 17 from 2 - 6 p.m., sustainable mobility, i.e. the use of bicycles in combination with public transport, as well as more road safety and exercise will be promoted. For example, the pump track can be used by everyone. Further offers for bicycle repair and for exercise and sport in Moabit as well as information on road safety and the traffic turnaround complete the program.
Detailed description (original language): Einladung zum Aktionstag Mobilität in Berlin-Moabit am 17. September 2024
Wir laden herzlich zum Aktionstag Mobilität im Rahmen der Moabiter Wochen der Mobilität am Dienstag, den 17. September 2024, von 15 bis 18 Uhr auf den Otto-Platz in Berlin-Moabit ein. Die Veranstaltung bietet zahlreiche Aktionen, um die Freude am Fahrradfahren zu fördern und die Verkehrssicherheit zu erhöhen. Highlight der von der Senatsverwaltung für Mobilität, Verkehr, Klimaschutz und Umwelt geförderten Mobilitätswochen ist ein mobiler Pumptrack: ein Rundkurs mit Hügeln für Fahrradspaß für Groß und Klein.
Um 16 Uhr wird Schirmherr Christopher Schriner, Bezirksstadtrat für Ordnung, Umwelt, Natur, Straßen und Grünflächen im Bezirksamt Mitte von Berlin, ein Grußwort halten.
Die Moabiter Woche der Mobilität findet vom 16. bis 20. September 2024 statt und richten sich insbesondere an Kinder, Schüler*innen und Jugendliche. Jeden Tag laden die Veranstalter mit einem Pumptrack, einem Mini-Parcours für die Kleinsten und einer BMX/Trial-Station zum Mitmachen ein. Fahrräder und Helme in unterschiedlichen Größen werden gestellt. Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, die Freude an nachhaltiger Mobilität zu fördern und gleichzeitig auf den Klimaschutz aufmerksam zu machen.
